CORE TUTORING IS OPEN
CORE Tutoring is always open to receive email communication and phone calls. Due to the recent COVID-19 lockdown beginning on December 26th, we are only able to work online with students. When elementary and secondary students return to in-person learning, we may be able to return to 1:1 in-person sessions. We will update our website when we receive further clarification. The health of our students, families, and teachers are our greatest concern.
If you are looking for support for your child who is working from home, we would be happy to facilitate your child's learning in a personalized, flexible manner.

If you would like to book one of our new online GROUP PROGRAMS (with revised dates) please register below.

As always, we look forward to welcoming you at CORE.

ABOUT CORE TUTORING

Personalized, student-driven learning
The sole purpose of CORE Tutoring is to provide programming and guidance for students that will directly improve performance. We believe that education is the stepping stone for accomplishing something amazing. When students have the necessary resources and support anything is possible.

CORE Tutoring is built on the understanding that individual students require individual supports to help them reach their full potential. CORE Tutoring looks at the whole child to assess their strengths and areas of need. Student strengths are used to address areas of need. Goals are set and targeted programming is implemented. All CORE staff are teachers who have a wealth of knowledge and experience.

The end results will show measurable and observable improvements in a short amount of time. Students will enjoy coming to work in a relaxed and motivational setting in the Olde Hyde Park school building. Parents and siblings can wait in the comfortable foyer and enjoy free wifi.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
CORE TUTORING
For Elementary Students
Math and literacy needs are the most common reason students seek support at CORE. Teachers are well-versed with the Ontario curriculum and the methods used to teach students in our classrooms. Personal accommodations, effective use of technology, and executive functioning skills are also taught to maximize success.
CORE COACHING
For Secondary Students
For students who are in high school, support can be provided at our Hyde Park location, or it can take place through an online Google hangout. Sessions can take place on a regular basis or as needed. English support, study skills, organization and goal-setting are our main areas of expertise. For math and other content areas, we can provide you with a list of recommended tutors.
CORE CONSULTING
For Parents
Navigating through the education system can raise questions for parents. In addition to supports offered through your child's school, CORE teachers can help with IEP recommendations based on Psychological assessments, provide an understanding of executive functioning skills and help with the successful use of technology.
